We have openings for a Commercial Lines Producer, Personal Lines Producer and an Employee Benefit Producer

We are looking for highly motivated, professional individuals with a desire to succeed, excellent communication skills and a willingness to work hard. The primary responsibility of our sales representatives is to sell or “produce” new business that enables our agency to grow and prosper.

Major focus of this role is selling commercial, personal or employee benefit insurance products via cold calling prospective clients to sell insurance and develop new client relationships. Initiating sales calls to sell insurance to existing clients. Maintaining and developing relationship with existing client base. Contacting prospects for the purpose of providing a quote and making sales appointments. Surveying prospects to determine insurance needs, inspect current insurance policies, risk management plans, property, products and records. Collect detailed risk and underwriting information including survey data and loss history. Developing and delivering formal proposals of insurance including details of lines of coverages, limits, deductibles, etc. Working with assigned Account Manager or Marketing to complete company submissions and selection of potential markets. Staying informed of all claims or service issues and being involved in resolution when required. Participating in renewal process. Maintaining production reports and attending all sales meetings. Utilizing and maintaining SalesLogix for new prospects and cross-selling of existing clients. Promoting agency and insurance industry in the community. Keeping informed of significant industry trends & developments; attending insurance carrier training meetings on new products, etc.

Qualifications:
Candidates must be licensed with a minimum of three years sales experience. Proven ability to generate, pursue & close sales. Possess knowledge of standard concepts, practices & procedures in the insurance industry. Knowledge of insurance and products is essential. Possess excellent verbal & written skills; ability to negotiate, influence others. Superior organizational and follow-up skills Possess excellent organizational, time management & interpersonal skills. Must be computer literate; knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel. Candidate should hold Producer’s License. Within 5 years obtain Professional Licensing designations of AAI, ARM or CPCU.

401(k)

  • 401(k) Program with employer match. Eligibility for employee contributions begins on the first of employment. Employees may contribute up to 60% of salary (or the applicable IRS maximum); employer matches 100% up to the first 4% of employee contributions beginning immediately upon participation in the plan.

 

Holidays and Paid Time Off

  • Seven paid holidays per year plus three floating hoidays per year.
  • 18 Paid Time Off (PTO) days each year of first three years employment and one additional day for each year through eight year employment Employees with the Company for 10 years or more accrue a total of 25 days per year.
